Well Child

Project Description – Three goals

Goal #1:
Develop and promote a universal screening tool that could lead to full social/emotional screening for use throughout Juneau’s medical community.  Partnership’s committee for Behavioral Health Outreach developed the Well Child Indicator’s Checklist early in 2006. The indicators page consists of 12 questions to be answered by parents in a doctor’s waiting room to help identify social/emotional stress in a child.

Goal #2:
Collaborate with the medical community to prescribe a plan of support for the family and child.

Goal #3:
Develop a system of support through group counseling sessions, and resource referral.

Partnerships for Families and Children is currently seeking funding for the third goal phases of this exciting and timely project.
